    Job Title: Marketing Associate, Adult Marketing
    Department: Marketing & Publicity
    Reports to: Senior Director, Marketing and Publicity
    Location: 41-22 Adelaide Street West, Toronto


    Job Summary:
    Working within the marketing team and with sales and publicity departments to coordinate marketing plans for HarperCollins Adult titles across all lists.


    Major Accountabilities:
    • Manages Adult Marketing across all lists
    o Attends author acquisition pitches
    o Plans and manages Focus, Planning and Priority title setting
    o Distributes Marketing budget for adult titles
    • Oversees POS material
    o Works with Marketing Assistant to source suppliers
    o Oversees creation and distribution of POS material to Indies
    • Manages relationships with key authors
    • Liaises with all departments to execute campaigns
    o Manages relationships with international partners
    • Provides marketing updates to authors, agents and sales
    • Prepares and Leads sales conference marketing sessions


    Qualifications, Skills and Competencies:
    • 3-4 years publishing or marketing experience
    • Experience in developing print marketing collateral
    • Book publishing courses or certificate an asset
    • High degree of written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong familiarity with InDesign, Adobe and Excel
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills and ability to multi-task
