    JOB SUMMARY:              

     

    Reporting to the Senior Manager, Online Engagement and Social Media, the Manager, Social Media will be responsible for the strategic and logistic implementation of Harlequin’s social media programs, with the aim of cultivating influential relationships in the social media space. They will participate in the strategic planning of Harlequin’s social media activity, in alignment with Harlequin’s overall strategic goals, and will manage the implementation of all social media activities including, but not limited to, activity on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Goodreads, and other emerging social platforms.

    Social Media Execution

    Execute the social media plans by actively participating in Harlequin’s social media properties such as Harlequin’s branded presence on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Goodreads and other emerging social platforms.

    Develop corporate social media strategy

    In conjunction with marketing and editorial stakeholders, develop cohesive social media strategies for Harlequin’s brands and books.

    Analysis

    Develop, monitor, and analyze social media metrics.

    Expand the impact of Harlequin’s Social presence

    In conjunction with the Senior Manager of Audience Development, research, recommend, and implement initiatives to expand the impact of Harlequin’s social presence on new and emerging platforms.

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Specific training or job experience required before appointment includes:

    • 4+ years of related experience and a strong background in digital marketing
    • Digital experience in a consumer facing and or entertainment brand environment a plus
    • Post-secondary diploma/degree in PR/Business/Marketing
